Camas Design pairs handmade Native American beadwork and traditionally tanned hides with modern designs and contemporary silhouettes. The result is a collection of one-of-a-kind jackets, vests and accessories celebrating the beauty of traditional craftsmanship and the style of the women who wear them.
Camas’ purpose is to share the beauty of these crafts, in contemporary designs, honoring the tribal past and traditions and allowing the artists to support themselves by working in their homes, doing the craft they learned from the generations before them. Camas is a partnership, reveling in Native American women and their strengths.
75% of all after tax profits will be donated to the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization founded in 2010 to expand IAIA’s capacity to raise critically needed funds to help empower their students to succeed.
